The Student Ombudsman occupies a position that is independent of the student body and of the university; matters that are brought to the student ombudsman are kept confidential unless it is agreed by the complainant that in the process of resolution it is necessary to reveal some of the things discussed.

The Student Ombudsman will listen to you, will investigate your claims and if appropriate will recommend action to be taken to resolve them. Check out the guidelines for resolution of student grievances.

The Student Ombudsman does not advocate for the students.  This is a role that is taken by the Student Guild.
